Many of you know that my wife, Cathy, recently fell and broke her femur
requiring surgery to repair the broken bone. While at the hospital, she was also
diagnosed with lung cancer. She has returned home and is now recovering from
the fall and subsequent surgery.
It is hard to believe that the Season of Lent is coming to a close and Easter is
just around the corner. It seems like we just celebrated Ash Wednesday a few
days ago. Our journey to Jerusalem and Passion Week is quickly coming to a
climax.
As I write this article, I am aware that Lent is approximately half-way over. Being a season where one is challenged to face their mortality, I am also aware of many situations and circumstances that point out my humanness and frailty. Some of these situations are personal with me and my family and others are circumstances that I am
walking through with friends and church members.
